| Fiamma CaravanStore rollout awning | |
| Installation: The bag awning requires a rope track (not included) on the side or top corner of your Campervan, Camper Trailer, Pop-Top, Caravan or Motorhome. The track should have silicone placed under all screw or pop-rivet holes. Mounting depends on strength of surface being attached to, but a general rule would be to attach at least every 400mm. The rope track should be splayed and sanded at the end to make sliding in the awning easier.
It is desirable, but not essential, that the rope track is straight. A small variation where the roof of a campervan curves would be acceptable, but it should not excess 50mm. The more variation from straight - the more sag that will be evident when the awning is extended. The bag that holds the awning, is generally left installed in the rope track even during travel and storage. It is kept in place by crimping the ends of the rope track, or placing one or two screws thru the section that slides into the track. Some people decide to remove the bag awning to extend the life and/or prevent theft.
The Awning size is the measurement of the length of the awning tube from the front of the RV to rear of the RV. The actual bag that encloses it is around 100mm longer, and the fabric is actually slightly shorter. The width that the awning extends from the side of the RV is 1800mm for the 1.9m long awning, while all other sizes extend 2250mm.
The bag extends 140mm below the rope track, so this should be taken into account to ensure the RV door does not get fouled on the bag. When the awning is open - the bag may be held in a higher position to allow greater clearance. | |

Above: The fully erect awning shows the telescopic legs that hold up the roof. The telescopic rafters that hold the roof fabric tight, are connected to the roller and sit into a holding socket within the bag. Not shown are the pegs and ropes that should be attached to each leg to prevent the wind from lifting and damaging the awning. You can also peg the legs thru the leg base. The colour shown on the awning here is PLATINUM, and is the only colour imported into Australia. The pattern appears on both sides of the fabric.

Operation: The caravanstore awning. 1) The bag is unzipped in both directions from the centre. The bag contains everything except the 2 guy ropes and pegs. |

2) The velcro straps are released, to allow the awning to unroll. In some installations, a step or chair may be required to reach the velcro straps. |

3-5) The roll is very light and easily unrolled by one person. Note how the roll has the base of the leg and the grey leg clamp protruding slighty from the end of the roller. This is the same at both ends. |

6) The photos below (left & right), show how the leg and roof rafter slide out from the front end, and the other set from the rear end of the roller. The leg and rafter both pivot once they all all the way out. This step is best done with two people, one at the front and one at the rear- but it is possible to do alone.

7) Left: The legs are now released with the grey finger clamp shown here. They telescope down, and are clamped at the required height. It is essential to allow a slope to prevent water pooling on the roof.

8-9) Left & Below: The roof rafter now pivots to rest at the top where the awning is attached to the roof.

10 & 11) Fitting into one of two rubber sockets
that are inside the awning bag. The rafter automatically locks when
placed in tension. |
| Complete: When both sides are in place the awning is erected. Before sitting under the awning with your wine and cheese board, you should peg the legs to the ground or peg with the included guy ropes. | |

Sizes: Lengths available as per website - but what does the
length mean: Width: measured from the face of wall to the nose of the awning roller is 1.8m for the 1.9m model, and all the rest are 2.25m. Height: The legs are 1.9m when fully extended, they can be set at a lower height.
