Important
Safety Warnings - High Voltage Danger
- The inverter supplies 240 volts at the AC output. The
high voltage danger from your inverter is therefore
equal to the safety hazard represented by your normal
household mains supply. Treat your inverter with
respect.
- Do not tamper with the unit or insert objects other than
approved mains plugs into the outlet sockets.
- Do not use appliances with damaged cords. Ensure all
connections comply with Australian Wiring Rules.
- Do not expose your inverter to dust, water or other
contaminants.
- Do not mount the unit close to external heat sources or
in direct sunlight.
- During normal operation heat is generated and the unit
will become warm. It is essential that adequate
ventilation be provided, ensuring that the ventilation
holes are not obstructed. Air should be able to pass
freely around the unit.
- Do not install the inverter in a compartment housing
batteries or flammable products.
- When connecting the power leads to the battery a spark
may occur due to the charging of the capacitors inside
the unit. Care should be taken to ensure the battery
area is well ventilated thereby minimising the risk of
any explosive gas or vapour buildup.
