Pitching and tail sway in caravan towing is usually due to bad balance of the caravan. Ideally the caravan/trailer should have 10 to 15% of its weight onto the tow ball. Excessive weight on the towball will also make the rear of the car too low and take pressure off the front wheels, thereby making steering less effective, and potentially very dangerous. Load Equalizers sometimes called stabilisers are very effective at correcting these problems, if used correctly. To calculate which equaliser should be used, add the weight of the caravan to the weight of the luggage in the car boot. The 2 Rod set will distribute weights from 45kg to70kg. Set comes complete with (a)Head, (b) 2 rods, (c) Bracket set for 100mm A-Frame.
