The Optus Aurora system provides transmission of free-to-air services for
a number of broadcasters.
FeaturesReception can be direct to your RV via a satellite
dish, set top box and the Optus Aurora Smartcard. The Aurora system operates
in an encrypted format and by making use of smartcards within the set top
box, it decrypts the service applicable to the entitlements of the smartcard
being used.
The Aurora free-to-air services are currently carried on the Optus C1 satellite,
which is located at the 156 degrees East orbital slot, is available for a one
off fee, so no extra monthly charges.
