Aluminium rope track, also called 'Sail track' or 'Caragrove'
is used to attach most awnings and annexes to the RV.
The Single fixing type has just the one flat fixing side and
is generally used on edges of the RV.
The Double fixing type has two flat fixing sides to spread the load and help
prevent twist. These are generally used on the face of a wall.
Both styles can be effectively butt joined provided the
inside edges at the joined section are filed or sanded to prevent snagging the
awning.
When fixing, any pop-rivet or screw holes should have silicone
applied to prevent ingress of water. Usually fix at approximately 500mm intervals.
These are available as Natural Aluminium (Mill finish), or
White powdercoated.
