These hot water systems fit under a seat or in the back of a cupboard, with a door and access from the outside of the RV. This model operates on gas only, but requires connection to 12V for ignition of gas pilot light. The door is white and is also used for the ventilation. The tank is fully insulated and includes a 1/2 BSP female inlet for cold water at the back, and the hot water comes out the 1/2" BSP female outlet at the top of the back. The gas inlet is a male SAE 3/8inch.
This model has Direct Spark ignition.A remote switch (provided) is used to ignite the HWS when you stop, and is wired to the unit (wire not supplied) at any distance. A small electronic module must also we located in the cupboard - it is already wired up to the HWS. The switch also has an indicator light to inform you that the gas is alight. It will relight if goes out.

All Suburban RV Hot Water Systems have a porcelain-lined, high tensile steel tank which are pressure tested twice for assurance of tank integrity and a long life.
All Suburban RV Hot Water Systems have an anode rod which absorbs all the corrosive action of hot water. It is located on bottom of HWS under the main burner, you simply unscrew this to drain the tank of water. If the rod is mostly eaten away, simply replace it with a new one.
