This is an extremely useful addition to any caravan or motorhome that does not already have a hot water system. It you already have a mains pressure tap - or tap that is connected to a water pump, simply replace that tap with this combined mixer tap and hotwater system.
It will fit thru a 30mm dia hole in your sink or bench, and is secured with a lock nut from below. You can reconnect to the 1/2 BSP male inlet on the base of the HWS or use the included 450mm easyhook to adapt to a 1/2 BSP Female inlet. The unit has wiring for direct connection to a 240V circuit, or you add a 15amp plug to connect to a 15amp socket if available.
Also provided, but not connected, is a 10amp plug. Bear in mind that using the 10amp plug provided would not meet the Australian electrical code as the current draw would exceed that normally allowed from one 10amp outlet. Having stated the legal requirements, lets get to the bit you are really interested in. Does it work!. We've tested one here , by connecting to a 10amp plug (for testing only) and a cold hose. The results were very impressive. The unit supplies hot water at the rate of 2.5 litres per minute very suitable for washing up. Using the mixer you can switch from hot to cold, no need to turn power off, it starts heating within 5 seconds of water running thru the HWS.
